Permanent Exterior Lighting Installation in Latham
Put away the ladder and the tangled strands for good. We mount low-profile LED lighting along your roofline that blends in by day and does whatever you like at night, all set from an app. One person handles your job from the first walkaround to the last swept step.

Lights that stay up and stay out of sight
Permanent lighting is a slim track fixed along your roofline with small LED lights set into it at even spacing. During the day it reads as part of the trim. After dark you choose the look: soft white for everyday curb appeal, warm accents for a dinner party, or full color for the holidays.
It suits you if you're tired of hanging and pulling down strands every fall and spring, or if you want the front of your house lit year-round without a mess of clips and cords. Because the lights are app-controlled, schedules and color changes happen from your couch.
We've been in business for 5 years, and the part people tell us they appreciate most is simple: you talk to the same person about your design, your install day and any question that comes up afterward.
What your installation includes
A roofline walkaround
We look at every run of fascia, peak and corner you want lit and note where the power will come from. You get a clear picture of where the track goes before anything is mounted.
Track matched to your trim
The mounting channel is chosen in a color close to your fascia or soffit, so it fades into the home exterior during daylight hours.
Weather-rated LED lights
The lights sit inside the track, out of direct snow and rain, and are built for outdoor use through hot summers and freezing nights.
Power supply and controller setup
We place the power supply near an existing outdoor or garage outlet, connect the controller and set up the app on your phone before we leave.
Your first scenes, programmed with you
We walk you through schedules, brightness and color, and set a few looks you'll use often so you aren't starting from a blank screen.
Cleanup
Drill dust, packaging and offcuts leave with us. Your yard and walkways look the way we found them.
When permanent lighting is a good fit
November ladder duty wears you out
Nobody misses hanging lights from frosty ladder rungs. Permanent lighting means doing that job just once.
Clips break every season
Bargain plastic clips crack in the cold and leave pieces in your gutters. A fixed track does away with them.
Your house fades into the dark at night
When your roofline and front door vanish after dark, a soft white glow adds curb appeal and guides guests to the entry.
You'd like lights all year
Autumn shades, holidays, team colors for game day or a birthday. A single system handles each one with no strands to change.
Timers keep losing their settings
Plug-in timers drift and reset whenever the power flickers. The app ties schedules to sunset, so the lights shift with the seasons.
How your project runs
- 1
A phone call and a free quote
Start by telling us what you're picturing, and we'll pick a day that works for you to walk the roofline in person. Afterward you receive a written quote listing the footage, the lights and the controller.
- 2
Design and color choices
We go over which rooflines to light, where the runs start and stop, and the track color. Nothing is ordered until you're happy with the plan.
- 3
Install day
We mount the track along the fascia or under the soffit edge, set the lights, run wiring neatly to the power supply and test every section. Most homes need no one inside during the work, only access to the outlet we'll use.

Walkthrough and handoff
Once it's dark enough to see, we show you the lights working, set up the app with you and leave the area clean. Questions later go to the same person you've been talking to all along.
What drives the cost
Homes vary too much to guess, so we price yours after a visit. Your quote spells out each part of the job, leaving nothing to puzzle over later. These factors change the total the most.
- Feet of roofline
- How much track and how many lights you need is the largest factor. Doing just the front costs less than going all the way around.
- Roof height and shape
- Second-story walls, sharp peaks and many corners take longer to mount than one long, level ranch roofline.
- Distance to power
- An outdoor or garage outlet close by keeps it simple. A longer run of wire to reach power means more material and labor.
- Shape of the fascia
- The track has to grip sound wood or trim. If parts of the fascia are soft or damaged, we show you before mounting and you choose what to do.
- Zones and controls
- Lighting areas separately, like a garage on its own from the house, can take added controllers or power supplies.
Common permanent lighting questions
Something not covered here? (518) 765-7277
Is the track noticeable in daylight?
Barely. We match the track color to your trim and fasten it snug to the roofline, so from the street it blends into the house. Neighbors usually notice only once the lights are on.
Does it handle snow and ice?
The lights are set down inside the track, sheltered from direct snow, rain and ice. They're designed for outdoor use, and Capital Region winters are what they're made for. Leave them up and on all year.
Do the lights have a warranty?
Yes, a 10-year product warranty covers them. If something stops working, call the same person who ran your install and we'll take it from there.
Can the track harm my roof or gutters?
The track attaches to the fascia or soffit area, never through shingles, and nothing hangs from the gutters. If part of your house isn't a good mounting spot, we'll say so and offer another path.
Can I set colors and schedules on my own?
Yes, that's the point. In the app you choose colors, brightness and patterns, and have the lights turn on at sunset and off whenever you want. We set it up with you on install day so you're at ease with it.
Do you work beyond Latham?
We do. We install permanent lighting all around the area, including Colonie, Loudonville, Cohoes, Troy and Albany. Quotes are free anywhere we work.
